David-Zacharie Issom is a Professor HES at HEG Geneva (HES-SO) and the founder and head of Convivens Lab. His work focuses on the design and governance of digital health infrastructures, with particular attention to equity, patient participation, and systemic resilience. He has led multiple international research projects on rare diseases, blood systems, and health data governance, collaborating with institutions including Geneva University Hospitals (HUG), University of Geneva, and patient organizations across Europe. His research draws on critical perspectives from science and technology studies, political economy, and participatory design to address structural challenges in health systems. He teaches courses in information systems, digital health, and research methods at HEG Geneva.
